Follow Friday, TGIF, and Book Blogger Hop (7/21/11)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee. It exists so bloggers can make friends and say "hi!".
Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?
Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jeaniene Frost, and JR Ward. I do love me some saucy bodice ripper books, but I love the kind with actual substance. Though all the aforementioned authors write smut to make your toes curl, all their stories have actual plots. characters, and a real story, not a mindless sexcapade.
TGIF is hosted by Ginger over at G-Reads, and it helps bloggers recap the week on their blog and answer a question.
Bookshelf Tour: Where do you keep your books at home? Are they organized?
Well, for a while I was reconstructing a to-scale model of a small city with the heaping piles of books scattered around my room, but now, I have a bookshelf! Huzzah! It's got three shelves:
Shelf 1-books I have yet to read
Shelf 2- Favorite books and a few sent from Little, Brown & Co. that didn't fit on the first shelf
Shelf 3- Beloved favorite series and single books [mainly my collection of Dark-Hunter books, the Southern Vampire series, the Highlander series, and a bunch of bodice-rippers].

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy for Books. It's where bloggers connect via their love for books!
What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?
MYSTERIES! My mom loves mysteries of all type, my sister likes mysteries, I work in a library where I check out mysteries to people daily. I've tried, but with the exception of Janet Evanovich, mysteries just...don't do it for me. I'd rather a saucy bodice ripper anyday! [Or a good dystopian young adult novel]
Have a great weekend!

  1. Great choices. I've some of J.R Ward's Dark Lover novels but have only read the first novel. I someday plan on reading the rest since I devoured the "Dark Lover" in a day.

I grabbed your blog's button and was hoping if you could do the same since my blog is fairly new.

  8. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but bookshelves might not be able to keep you from building a small city (or even a larger one) with your books. Or maybe that's just me.
